This slope was impossible to work with. The sloping angle was just too great. The soil kept on washing down onto the sidewalk.
We installed a simple soil retaining system with plastic edging and attached it to the ground with wooden stakes. The plotting of the plants allow for ample growing and plant proliferation. We will see how it develops in a couple of seasons.

You could use different annuals each year to ad some variety to the look of it. This flower bed would work well as an accent in most places around a home, and it is very "low maintenance"

The flower bed box was created with pavers to go with the surrounding pavers work around the driveway.
